I decided to head down to the Erie Canal Towpath to find some
new history going on there. I already knew about its past, but I was curious
to know what it offered now; what new history was being written there as we
speak.
I was moved when I discovered that the valley is now a very vital nexus for
the artistic community in the area. They hold exhibits and shows on a regular
basis, and the valley itself is a source of inspiration for many local artists.
I felt excited to know that there were so many other people who enjoyed the
valley as I do, and it has motivated me to become more involved in the events
taking place there.
