Journey

My work experience and school background is a mixture of design and business(accounting). I use to call it the right brain/left brain curse but as I grew older I have come to accept it and know that it is a positive attribute or as they say in the accounting world an asset and not a liability. They do have something in common, both require balance, weather it is a cash flow statement or a design layout for a website.

A Few Samples Of My Work

This is one of my group pieces. I enjoyed creating these logos for each activity. I used Illustrator and Photoshop to design them. I spent a lot of time coming up with sketches for each one and just the right photograph. For all of them I did a partial tracing of a photo in Illustrator and then created my own details within the piece. I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed creating them.

Favorite Activities

I started taking drum lessons about a year ago and I am thoroughly enjoying it. I never took music lessons when I was younger but I always wanted to learn how to play drums. I purchased my first drum set six months, a pretty burgundy color with an awesome throne(seat). Currently I do not have a lot of spare time to practice because of working full time and a particular web design class that takes most of my time which by the way is very fun, but sometimes frustrating.

I love to draw and hope in the future I can experiment with sculpting. I am not sure with which medium but it is always enjoyable experimenting, you never know what you can come up with.

Watching movies with my husband, reading and playing tennis are my other favorites.
