When I first started with the idea of the webpage, I wanted it to have a lot of information, as well as have an option to be able to listen to samples of the music, so the populace that viewed my page would have a better understanding of the genre, as well as the definition of it. I started by making simple backgrounds of black as you see in this background, but then I wanted to have other looks, as well, to give it an edge, as well as make it look more to what I was trying to portray. I looked through pictures that I had on my laptop, but when I found none that would fit what I was trying to do, I looked online for the answers. I managed to find a few really good ones, and they were embedded into the background.
I next had to learn quickly how to actually slice the music in order for it to work properly, since to use more than 30 seconds would be illegal without the permission from the band themself. I was only able to get one bands' permission, and I put that song on the recent day music, because it is an underground band, and I knew the singer well. I downloaded the Audacity software to help slice the music into 30 second pieces, making sure to slice it at the right time in order for the music to be good on each page. The index page is the only one I intentionaly left without a sample of music.
I learned to use the object tags, finding it easier to use than the embed tag, and I put it into my html, making it possible to be able to press play to listen to the music instead of having to listen to it in the background.
I submitted it, having the font colors different with each page, and I learned that it was too hard to read, so I went back and I changed a couple of the pages' font color to make them visible, and maybe a little easier to read. I also changed the font size, as well, to help, making a few backgrounds smaller, while others I had to change entirely. I hope that you enjoy the creation that I have made.
