HOBBIES

If it has anything to do with design, arts or crafts, it's probably a hobby of mine. I really hope to attain a good grasp of web design so I can move my design skills to the web. I have been an avid arts and crafts person for many years and enjoy drawing, painting candle-making, producing aromatherapy products (my current passion) textile painting, jewelry-making, etc. As long as it has to do with arts and crafts, I enjoy it. I am also an avid reader, but am more drawn to nonfiction and love the "how to" books the best. It seems that I enjoy reading in order to be able to learn something. I wish I could find the time to just enjoy a good short story every now and then.

HOLIDAYS

I simply LOVE Christmas and everything to do with it. I just wish it wasn't so overly commercialized and rushed. People need to slow down and enjoy the sacredness of this time of year.

My second favorite holiday is Halloween. A fun time when you can dress up as anyone you want to be, and get goodies while you're at it! I love a crisp autumn night warmed with lighted jack-o-lanterns and hot spiced cider.

Lastly, I love St. Patrick's Day, and usually have friends and/or family over for a traditional corned beef dinner, complete with green beer! My house is decorated with Shamrocks and Leprechans and looks very festive. I put on my Irish music and you'd never know I wasn't a native Irish lass!
