Image Slicing and Tables

What I learned:

From what I learned about Tables and Image slicing, its really not the way to go when building a web site today. This practice was used to make web pages load quicker. By slicing an image it would make the image size smaller and start to load quicker, so the person visiting the site would see the image start to load quicker and would hopefully stay on the site. Using tables was a way to pice together the image by using a border of "0".

Tables are ok to still used for sertain content, like when you want to display tabular data. Also tables dont display well when resizing your window if the table was not built with the width was not specified. This link explains a lot about tables.

One sight explained how image slicing is a good way to protect your images, if they are sliced the people wont try to take them from the internet. This is the sight that explains that.
