Why I'm Taking This Course

2 1/2 years ago I was laid off from my job as Information Services Manager at an engineering and architectural firm. With eleven years experience behind me, I entered the job market full steam ahead.

Balancing my life with a husband and three children had to become part of my strategy. I felt that going to school for something that would compliment my experience was the answer. I do have a creative side and mixing that with my technical side made the Interactive Media program a good choice.

I have found in a short time that I went from thinking that brain would not like thinking "in code" to realizing that I just may want to pursue becoming a programmer. This may be a bit premature, but I'm finding that I enjoy being able to create something that has a definite "right or wrong". Working with the validator to try to solve my problems is a challenge and it is satisfying when I see that green bar at the top of the screen! Oh what has my life become?
