Wine

The image above contains an electric wine opener, an aerator as well as a backup opener in the event my electric one is either not charged or has been used too much :) I prefer to drink a dry red wine. For my last birthday and I asked for and received wine making equipment. Three weeks ago I started my first batch of Merlot. It should be ready around Christmas time. I bet myself and my friends will be having happy holidays!

Coffee

The coffee beans you see here are ones that I have roasted. I have been roasting for about a year now. I buy green/raw beans off of the internet. It is definitely trial and error to figure out the correct roasting curve for each type of bean. The machine can produce quite a bit of smoke in the final phase of roasting. My first experience with this set every fire alarm in the house off as well as freaking my cats out but we are all still here to tell the tale so it's all good. I now roast my beans outside on the deck in the nice weather or in the garage in the winter. I can't even describe to you how wonderful it smells in my garage in the winter!

Jewelry

The necklace here is the first one I made. I have only started making jewelry a few months ago but do enjoy it. The downside is that it can get costly buying all of the supplies. For right now I just make things for gift giving occasions. I do not have the time or money to compete with all the fabulous jewelry artists that you can find at art shows and galleries but maybe one day I will try to start selling on-line. My niche will aim to please the gift givers that want to spend $30.00 or less.

Music

These are just a few cd's that I have in my kitchen cupboard. I have tons of music consisting of many type of genres. I love to dance and to play my music loud whether it's Crosby Stills Nash and Young, Vivaldi, or anything in between.
