Image Slicing

Describe the Process

Slicing images using Photoshop is a very easy process.

First, you need to import an image into Photoshop. Now that you have the image, you will need to slice it into parts using “guides.” Once dissected, select the slice tool and click on the button that says “cut from guides,” located on the toolbar.

Now, your image should be divided into several pieces. At this point, you can combine pieces if you want to.

Click on File and select “Save for Web and Devices.” For each individual piece, decide on which image type looks the best and then save.

Take the HTML file that contains the code for your sliced image, and copy and paste it into another file.
