I'm 22 years old and live in Strongsville. I first did not start off wanting to be a designer. I wanted to be a campaign manager for politicians. I studied Political Science for about a year before I realized that Political Science was not my calling. I took a year off from school to try to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. It finally dawned on me that I've always been creative by doing crafts or drawing (although I'm horrible at drawing) and admired all things that had to do with design. So that's a little story on how I settled down to be a Graphic Designer.
I'm taking this class because I believe I should be more of a well rounded designer by knowing how to create a website. I've noticed that when I'm looking for a graphic design job that some jobs want you to be able to maintain their website or create one. So therefore I believe I will have a better chance (I hope) at landing a job if I know how to do this as well. I took a production class last semester that dealt with creating web pages. It wasn't in depth at all so I'm hoping this class can cover a lot more and I'll be able to create website that isn't so simple looking.
