The Luxor Hotel Entrance

The Luxor Hotel and Casino

The Luxor is a really cool hotel. The main hotel is shaped like a four-sided pyramid and becomes narrower as the floors go higher. The outer walls are of the rooms are slanted, and from outside of the door to your hotel room you can see all the way down to the ground floor. It's all open space. The Luxor also has additional hotel towers that are traditionally shaped.

THE POOL

This pool is pretty cool... the deck is one of the largest in Las Vegas with 125,650 square-feet of space! It is very serene and a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the sun or in the evening.

DINING

I didn't have the opportunity to dine at the Luxor, but there are many choices here such as T&T - a Mexican style restaurante with rock'n'roll flair, TENDER steak & seafood, Pyramid Café - which is open 24/7 if you need a quick bite. You can find McDonald's, Starbucks and Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs in the food court.

ENTERTAINMENT

As with many of the other hotels in Las Vegas, The Luxor's entertainment includes Criss Angel® Believe, which I would love to see, as well as Carrot Top, Menopause The Musical®, and shows at the Excalibur such as Tournament of Kings and Thunder from Down Under.

MY STORY

The one and only time I stayed at the Luxor was on a "girls" trip with five of my friends. Unfortunately it was not the best... one of them came down with the flu on the plane! In an effort to keep everybody else well, we decided to get another room. All the rooms were booked and the only hotel we could get into was The Hard Rock. A few of us stayed there and it turned out to be a blessing in disquise! We ended up having an excellent time enjoying amenities such as the amazing pool and the Rock Spa!
