Benz Graphic Design, LLC is owned by Deborah A. Benz who started her graphic design career right out of high school after a two year vocational Commercial Art program at Willoughby South High School. At that time, typesetting was done pretty much the old fashioned way – before the Macintosh was even available. In 1986 she formed Concept 3 Graphics, Inc. located in Willoughby Hills, Ohio. After 20 successful years in business and a long list of clients, including Cuyahoga Community College, she was offered a position at the college to help out as a part-time designer. After two years she left and formed her new company, Benz Graphic Design, LLC.
As companies are turning to the Web to increase their business, so is the demand for designers to not only develop the site, but to maintain them as well. In order to keep up with the competition of other design firms, Deborah has decided to expand her company's services to include Web Design and anticipates to offer this service by 2013.
When speaking about Semantic Web, one of the topics of class this week, Tim Berners-Lee quotes:
"The Semantic Web is not a separate Web
but an extension of the current one,
in which information is given well-defined meaning,
better enabling computers and people
to work in cooperation."
