The standard "glamour" shot like this doesn't much interest for me. It's all surface and no depth. It can be attractive, beautiful even, but the element of theatricality (make-up, costume, pose) gets you farther away from who the person is. I'd like to think a photo can help you get closer.

That's no criticism of this attractive model—she's been asked to play a role, and did it well. Maybe part of that role is to keep her real self hidden. I'd like to learn more about how things look from the other side of the lens.
