Welcome to Findlay, Ohio, Flag City, USA!
Being a Findlay native, I invite you to join me in this
online visitors guide to the city I will always call my home.
Two and a half years ago I moved away from Findlay to
follow my career path but I travel back that way quite often
to be with family and a terrific community.
Findlay has grown rapidly in the past ten years and is well
on its way to becoming a fairly large city but the small town
atmosphere and sense of community remain. It is a rare
occurance that I will leave my family's house without
running into someone I know. For the most part, Findlay
is a friendly city and it is not unusual to strike up a
conversation with a complete stranger in a local eatery.
The city sits 45 minutes from Toledo and Lima along
Interstate 75 making it ideal for growing industry.
So, you may be asking... what surrounds Findlay?
Well, lots and lots of farm land and about a dozen small
villages such as Arcadia, Van Buren, McComb, and Arlington
among others. A nice blend of city and country
surroundings makes Findlay ideal for hosting many
county events such as sports tournaments, and the
county fair, which are both a very big deal.
There are lots of interested places to visit and things to see that truly
showcase the uniqueness that is Findlay. So, set forth, and explore my hometown, Flag City, USA!

The Hancock County Courthouse built in 1886 still houses governmental operations. It is located at the heart of downtown Findlay and is noted for its stained glass, original courtroom furnishings, a painting of Lady Justice, and the statue of John Hancock on top.
