The Best of Findlay
|
This is my favorite part of the website. The
part where I can tell you about all of the best
places to eat and to visit while you're here.
Findlay is home to several locally owned
businesses and institutions. Many of which
have been around for dozens of years
such as Wilsons which is a diner downtown
rumored to be the restaurant that
originated the idea for Wendys fast food
chain and Dietsch Bros. Ice Cream which
is everyone's favorite place for locally
made ice cream and chocolates.
There is also Riverside Park, home to an extensive
list of summer activities for all ages and the site
where Tell Taylor wrote and composed the song
"Down by the Old Millstream".
For antique enthusiasts, there is Jeffery's Antiques,
which claims to be the world's largest antique store.
There are lots of activities to enjoy in Findlay as well.
From Boogie on Broadway and the Arts Festival to
Cruise Night and the Gus Macker Tournament,
not to mention the Hancock County Fair, and the
annual Balloon Festival.
Don't forget about the historical district including many
historical monuments, art galleries and the
Hancock Historical Museum.
