Early days of Electronic

In 1898-1912 an electromechanical instrument called the Teleharmonium (or Telharmonium) was introduced by Thaddeus Cahill. Inconvenience kept people from the Teleharmonium: the instrument weighed tons and was very large. As time went on more electronic instruments were introduced and embraced by the people. 1960's-1980's was the time for the WAVE of electronic music, and damn did it evolve from there. Artists were using mixers and synthesizers to perfect their music, and add effects beyond anything we had heard before. Keith Emerson, The beach boys, Led Zeppelin, Grateful dead, Blondie, Alice Cooper, Ozzy, Cindy Lauper, and the Beatles were some of the more common bands that really got the Electronic Music wave where it is today. In addition to musical artists using electronic elements for their music, electronic Film Scores were taking over our films, and television. Adding eerie effects, computer generated noises, and voice effects.

Raves, Bad Techno, Strippers
DJs, and Hippies

Welcome to the 90's and the 21st century. Most music at this point is made by some type of electronic sound maker. This is when music started being edited using electronic software. This era brought in The Club Kids. Drugs, hours of raving, and a Plethora of techno and experimental, as well as some of the best electronic music ever made. This era also brought us HORRID house (meaning techno that never should have been) and "ULTIMATE DANCE MUSIC". Strippers made it a habit to dance to electronic and techno music (whorin out the new fad :) Another great thing that came out of this era was experimental. Don't get me wrong some experimental music is hard to get through, and is not pleasing to the ears, but it sure is a great music scene to be involved in. Hippies took their emotion and expressed it through instrumentals, and ground-breaking projects. This includes TRIP-HOP and Acid Jazz.
