This is the first version of the personal class website to showcase the semesters progress Week FiveWeek Four Revised with working links, altered background, and addition of padding and margins Week SixComplete overhaul of Class Website-this was totally optional as I had already corrected Week Five's error, but was bored with the page-So I changed it up with my glowing lines Anastasia. Week SevenHTML Wireframes for the Bill Of Rights Website, two wireframes, two color schemes at least ten sketches-Boo, drawing, seriously does where do I find a pencil and paper ;) Week EightBill Of Rights Rough Draft, functional feedback provided and site revised for Mid Term. Mid TermFinal BOR Site, brilliant concept went unexecuted-chalk it up to character defects and let's call it a learning experience. Week 11Edgewater (Erie Sirens) - an exercise in Image Slicing - that was worked twice with link to a place holder practice site that was created before week 10 was eliminated - I couldn't stand the thought of an empty week! Week TwelveRevised Class Home page-designed with variable screen size in mind - This is my first experience with the super cool span element that is causing these info blurbs - this will be a very cool effect to use in different ways! Week ThirteenMock ups for the final project-maybe a little heavy on design and lacking in the full details, but there none the less eCardMy first eCard-I think it's the coolest thing ever that I've been sending eCards for years and was able to create my own! In Class ExamWhile I object to timed exams I am rather confident I will rock this-but watch me eat those words now! We'll see! FinalYeah, all done-or at least as done as it's going to be. In the end, I still dont' love it, but I'm satisfied with it.

Course Description

Foundational web design, planning and construction with emphasis on web standards, usability and accessibility. Students construct web pages in (X)HTML and CSS using basic text-editing software.Topics include analysis of how and why a website succeeds or fails, aesthetics and visual design for web, planning, creation, uploading and registration of sites, troubleshooting, search engine optimization and basic marketing strategies.

Goals In taking this course

Simply put, to learn website creation from code without reliance on a program. Also because I felt that I wanted to be able to over ride a design program when things didn't want turn out the way I wanted them too. Mostly though, because I wanted to be able to create dynamic advertisements on sites that allow you to post ads in html (Craigslist and such) as well as emails marketing.
