Awww, it's Love Toast!
Want to make breakfast a little more special? Try this!
INGREDIENTS
- 2 Eggs
- 2 Pieces of bread
- Butter or margarine
- Salt and Pepper
STEP 1
If you have a heart shaped cookie cutter, then you can make the eggs pictured at left. However, it's not necessary, because there's alternative. So go ahead and heat up your favorite pan over medium-high heat and melt a pat of butter in it.
STEP 2
Take two slices of bread, and cut a heart-shaped hole in the middle of each slice. Hole should be at least 2-2.5" tall. Place in heated buttery pan.
STEP 3
Crack an egg into each heart-shaped hole in the bread. Depending how you (or your significant other) likes their eggs, you'll want to keep and eye on these. Obviously, the less cooking time, the runnier (aka "dippy") the eggs.
STEP 4
While the eggs are cooking, butter the slices of bread. When you flip the egg toast, this helps it not stick to the pan. And it just makes it more buttery and delicious.
STEP 5
When the eggs are about half-cooked, go ahead and flip the egg toast to cook the other side for a few more minutes. Careful to not over-cook.
STEP 6
Remove from pan and serve. Serving suggestion: 2 pieces of Love Toast go great with bacon or sausage, and fruit.
