The gray block is positioned 300 pixels from the top and 300 pixels from the left.

The blue block is positioned 300 pixels from the top and 600 pixels from the left.

The black block is positioned 50 pixels from the top and 50 pixels from the left inside the blue block, positioned absolutely but relatively to the blue block because it is inside of the blue block's div. When you are absolutely positioning an element inside of a block level element, the absolute positioning is relative to that container element. Because the navigation bar has also been absolutely positioned, the text on this and other pages in this week's assignment were given a left margin of 200 pixels in order not to land behind the navigation div.
