Wireframe 1
Here I went with an image in the upper left corner and the logo and/or site name in the upper right. Directly underneath, I will tell the user what this site is about, what I plan to accomplish, etc. Underneath that will be three main nav areas, one for The Places, another for The Equipment, and the last for The Budget. Under that will be a sub-nav which will have various links to other aspects of either Washington DC, photography, the trip itself, places to park, things like that. I haven't nailed down exactly what will be in the sub-nav yet.
