5 Cool Cleveland Spots You Won't Find In A Travel Guide

Pat's In The Flats

Cleveland is known as the rock 'n' roll capital of the world. But, it's not just because it houses the hall of fame in it's city limits. Beyond the Rock Hall's tributes to superstars, Cleveland also has it's own music scene, full of terrific musicians. Lucky for them, there's Pat's In The Flats. Ran by a rocking grandma named Pat Haynch, this dive has helped to jumpstart the careers of tons of local bands, giving them a place to flesh out their sound before they move on to greener pastures. It's also popular with more experimental genres that aren't often welcomed by the bigger clubs. Look at the stickers, photos, and album covers that line the walls, and you'll see over 30 years of Cleveland music history. Fun fact: popular Detroit band, The White Stripes, used to play Pat's on their early tours.
