Two full-time, tenure track positions: Typography & Design and Digital Media; begin summer 2003. Teach undergraduate courses at all levels within a curriculum that supports typography, publication design, identity & branding, information design, web design, interactive and motion graphics, design history and design writing & research.
  
Required: MFA (or equivalent) in graphic design or related. Experience in professional design practice desirable. Typography & design position requires expertise in typography and understanding of formal & historical foundations of graphic design profession. Visiting assistant professor: time-limited position. Teach topics of interest to the program in Graphic Design. The Bachelor of Graphic Design program includes courses in typography, image making, interactive/motion design, design theory and history integrated with comprehensive problem solving design studios.  Master's instruction centers on faculty determined design issues in 3-credit seminars and 6-credit studios.

New Researchers-Design Theory, Danmarks Designskole, Copenhagen, Denmark
Assistant professor or associate professor, starting April 1, 2003. The positions entail research within Danmarks Designskole's main areas of specialization: visual communication and digital media; and industrial design, product design and design craft. Electronic Time Based Art, Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA
Two full-time positions: one tenure track and one visiting or two visiting positions in Electronic Time Based Art. Seeking individuals working in technology-based art with experience in: robotics, programming for Internet based interactive and/or virtual environments, interactive audio, performance, motion capture and real time graphics and/or 2D imaging, computer vision, artificial life or biotechnology. A multidisciplinary orientation, conceptual strengths and contextual sensibilities are sought to teach freshman through graduate students and work with a dynamic faculty team to build the electronic time based area in the School of Art. Positions beginning August, 2003.
