First chess players
More and more signs point to warm weather in Cleveland. A couple of weeks ago, like the first swallows returning to Capistrano, a pair of sunbathers were spotted on Edgewater beach. Today it was the chess players near the pavillion. There were only a hardy few, as the wind from the north made it feel colder than the mid-50s temperature.
Joanne & I added a first of our own: the year's first picnic at Edgewater. We threw a pack of hotdogs, a few stale buns from the freezer, and a container of potato salad into a bag, gathered some scrap wood for a fire, and drove down as the sun got low in the sky.
That cold wind made us stand around the fire longer than we sat at the picnic table, but the hot dogs and potato salad tasted mighty fine anyway.
