Milestone
Big day today for my 2002 PT Cruiser: we hit the 100,000 mile mark. Since it's taken 10 years, we're clearly out of the mainstream in the United States.
For some people this is just a few years' driving, but since we live in the city and can walk to the grocery store, bank, and drugstore, the main source of miles is my daily commute to Parma.
Look for the yearly totals to drop even further in the near future, unless we start going on long road trips.
Compared to previous cars ('87 Plymouth Voyager, '74 Renault R-12) the PT Cruiser has been a dream to maintain. We've had trips to the shop for a number of things over the years, but nothing compared to the Voyager's persistent engine problems and the R-10's persistent exhaust engine suspension everything problems.
