Last Saturday I heard a group called Electric Junkyard Gamelan at the Bridge Project. I love the band, and posted a short video about them. Well, other people did the same, and here are a few videos that give you a better look at the band as they play:

Mike's Barn
I've also talked about Mike's Barn, a great nearby venue to hear music. Joanne and I went to the Broad Side of the Barn in 2007 and 2009.
It's a barn—really—where it seems that musicians play because they enjoy it, and people come to listen because they enjoy it. None of the trappings of the bar/club scene. It's strictly BYOB, with friendly people and great music.
