Sunset pink
This is one my favorite pictures from last week on Kelleys Island. On some days for a short time after sunset Lake Erie takes on the glowing pink of the sky. This picture was taken from the south side of the island looking southeast. Cleveland is somewhere over the horizon.
One day in the dead of winter when I'm looking for a reminder of warm sunny days I'll think of this scene as I open our bottle of Kelleys Island Winery Sunset Pink. Truth be told, the wine isn't that good, but it's an immediate connection to summer. That's good enough for me.
