See you in the Spring
It was warm and pleasant this weekend, unusual for mid-November. I decided that it was time to pick all the green tomatoes and peppers, pull the plants out, and cover everything with a thick layer of leaves.
My mini-greenhouse may provide us with salad greens for a few weeks more, as long as the weather doesn't turn really cold.
The sleeping garden sure looks different than it did back in August. Kind of sad, but on the other hand, next Spring will be another opportunity to try again. New season, new ideas, new plants.
Sort of like teaching, really. Every semester is an opportunity to start more or less fresh. Plant more of those ideas that flourished and grew fruit, discard the ones that withered and died.
