Food & flowers @ Foote's
Two years ago I was lamenting the closing of Foote's Valley Farms in Valleyview, my favorite greenhouse/bakery/market. Today we celebrated its rebirth with a peach pie, a raspberry-apple pie, a loaf of bread and a few bananas.
They actually did raze their old buildings, but did so to bring in a huge pile of dirt that so they could rebuild on high enough ground to not be flooded out as had happened several times in the recent past.
