New growth
My friend Mary Jo graciously agreed to plant a few more seeds this Spring so that I won't need to buy garden plants from a nursery.
They are looking pretty sprightly today: tomatoes, basil, peppers, eggplants, maybe a couple varieties of each.
I've had bad luck with my own seed-starting efforts, so I'm happy to leave this in the hands of a pro.
New look
As they do with some regularity, the marketing gurus have decided that my favorite cereal needs a makeover.
I think the old version on the left is more appealing because of its warmer, more natural look.
The updated, brighter look does highlight the two blue banner at top right and bottom left with nutritional sales pitches about the fiber and whole grain content.
A couple of years ago they were trumpeting "More almonds and granola clusters." I'm pretty sure that now there are a lot less almonds than before, but I guess we're supposed to be happy with fiber.
At least this isn't as bad as the truly bone-headed Tropicana rebranding effort last year.
