FEBRUARY 21, 2010
Sunday Summary (Feb. 15-20)
Monday, Feb. 15
Home repairs, car repairs, the English language: mangled and abused, then served up on the Internet for your amusement.
Tuesday, Feb. 16
Pizzicato and pianissimo are now words I understand, sort of. I've also learned that the triangle player makes as much as any other orchestra member. Who'd a thunk it? All this from The Fundamentals of Music.
Wednesday, Feb. 17
The Portfolio Preparation class brainstorms ideas for this year's show theme. A couple of ideas seem promising, but we're still wondering. Your feedback could help us make a decision.
Thursday, Feb. 18
A glorious sunny day at Edgewater Park, with the sun reflecting off the snow, and the fences casting shadows everywhere.
Friday, Feb. 19
Cleveland gets its own version of the brilliant TED Conference. TEDxCLE is much less ambitious, but still an exciting start. I'll be at the Capital Theater next Friday to check it out.
Saturday, Feb. 20
A couple of friends visiting for the weekend gave us a great excuse for buying decadent pastries at Farkas and drinking cucumber margaritas at Momocho. Later, good food, wine and conversation.
