Cookies for class
While a cold wind whistled through the trees outside, it was warm and cozy in the kitchen. I was making chocolate chip cookies, an end-of-semester ritual I picked up when I was in grad school at Kent.
At the end of the year Dale and Jeremy always made some delicious chocolate thing to share with the students they taught. Seemed like a good idea then, still does now.
I've long since lost Dale's recipe, but chocolate chip cookies are always a hit. I use less chocolate chips than the recipe calls for, but add lots of walnuts and coconut, instead.
