I love this!
For all of its reputation as a beer-drinkin', Browns-lovin' town, there's a ton of cultural activity in Cleveland, from cutting-edge bands at the Beachland to ballet in Lincoln Park.
It's this combination that makes Cleveland such a great place to live. Last night we joined hundreds of other Clevelanders in Tremont's Lincoln Park for a free performance by Verb Ballet.
The Indians fan in front of us was no less enthused to see a world premiere by a graduate of Cleveland's School of the Arts than he would have been to welcome Jim Thome back at tonight's Indians game.
It was a gorgeous night. Bats were swooping around keeping down the mosquito population as dancers twirled across the stage. Fireworks from the ballgame downtown punctuated the music of Ravel's Bolero. It was a pretty great way to spend a late-summer Friday night.
