Not sure if I believe my eyes, but you can find enough videos like this on YouTube to prove it, I guess.

Wingsuit
Kind of reminds you of a flying squirrel, doesn't it? According to Wikipedia it's sometimes called a squirrel suit. One of the videos attributes the idea to Leonardo da Vinci, although Wikipedia traces the wingsuit's history to the years between 1930 and the 1970s. Only 3 of the period's original 75 "birdmen" survived the testing of their inventions.
