Garden progress
After our two-week vacation, the garden looks a lot more lush. The tomatoes, peppers and eggplants have grown a foot or more, and most have fruit already forming. So far, so good.
Still, the picture gives a hint of the problem: the groundhog(s). I trapped one already, and the chewed-up kohlrabi, squash and tomato leaves tell me there's at least one more. Hence the trap that you seen near the center of the picture.
The battle continues. My defensive measures (fencing) have done their job, but I'm trying to avoid fencing the entire garden. And my attempt at annoying the hell out of them didn't help the two watermelon plants, now reduced to lonely stems.
