The Broccoli Experiment
Another first for 2010 is a cluster of broccoli sprouts that I planted today after supper. They were raised from seed by my friend Mary Jo, a master gardener. Now it's up to me to see that they reach their full potential. And then our table.
I've planted them in a cluster, inspired by the free-form arrangements at the Gather 'Round Farm. Folks there have transformed a convenience store parking lot into a Garden of Eden.
I guess it would have been smart to look up how far apart the plants should be, but too late now.
