Last day in Montreal
Here's a look back into our room, the Picasso suite at Au GitAnn, from the comfortable shared living/dining area.
Going to and from the waterfront we often walked past this desolate concrete park, deserted during the day and a bit scarey at night.
Typical of the urban renewal architectural style called Brutalism, I'll bet that it was built in the 70s.
I'll also bet that in a few years it will be replaced with something more appealing, as has happened with similar parks in Cleveland.
A few blocks from the concrete park the street is lined with stone row houses.
The outside staircase is a common feature, often longer and more ornate than these.
