Picnic at Wendy Park
We made a couple of sandwiches, brewed a pot of decaf, loaded bags of recyclables into the car, and headed down to Edgewater Park for a sunset dinner. We took a right turn off the Shoreway and went to Wendy Park instead. The park was busier than usual with folks who'd been there all day watching the Air Show held at Burke Lakefront Airport. Still, it was a quiet and different perspective to watch the boats on the lake, from the huge ore carrier American Republic heading downriver to the buzzing jetskis inside the breakwall.
Afterwards we dumped the recyclables into to bin in the Edgewater parking lot then walked up the hill and along Edgecliff Dr. until it started to get dark.
