Flamenco on Friday
Gorgeous Severance Hall and the regal Cleveland Orchestra heated up a bit for one of their Fridays@7 events. The silvery walls and ceiling glowed red and orange as a group of musicians assembled by Cleveland percussionist Jamie Haddad played.
After several jazzy-sounding pieces featuring the guitar work of Juanito Pascual, dancer Nino de los Reyes heated up the stage.
To be honest, the dancing was impressive but not my cup of tea. The percussion, on the other hand, I love. Before the on-stage performance, local drum group Samba Joia tore the place up in the lobby.
