Ginko
The yellow puddle of leaves under the ginko tree at Edgewater Park is an unmistakable sign that Autumn has truly arrived.
In other years the ginko was a holdout, shedding its leaves long after the trees around it. This year it's in the middle of the pack.
Still, the message is the same: get ready for the long cold days of Winter.
