Sound

It may seem unlikely, but artist Christine Sun Kim, who's deaf from birth, uses sound as her artistic medium.

Her goal is to explore sound by translating it into visible motion. Oddly enough, this makes perfect sense to me.

In fact, I suspect that she may appreciate sound in ways that those of us with normal hearing totally miss.

Yet another example of how art works to make the familiar strange and the strange familiar .
