A higher view
Not long ago we went to a CityMusic Cleveland concert at St. Stanislaus Church on East 65th St. Back again today for their Christmas Concert we couldn't find a decent seat on the main floor, so Joanne climbed the stairs to the choir loft and found primo seats right behind the organ.
The view reminded me of my days as a choir boy at St. Catherine's Church, but in a far grander setting. The sound wasn't as rich upstairs as below, but the majesty of the scene made up for that slight problem. CityMusic, with its mission of bringing classical music to city neighborhoods for free, is a great asset to our community. And the music is wonderful.
