Private Screening
Our annual media festival at Tri-C West was a huge success. Before the action moved into the theater for the screening of videos and animation, a big crowd mingled in the lobby admiring the large prints of work by Photo students.
Faculty member Miriam Bennett and the student Digital Cinema Group did a fantastic job of putting this together.
The crowds weren't quite as large in the Interactive Lounge where we had laptops set up to show interactive projects, but a constant flow of people stopped by. It was encouraging to see how long people stayed (some a half hour or more), indicating how well the work captured their interest.
On the screen you see the result of the pineapple torture session I talked about a few days ago.
You can see work from previous years—including great videos—at privatescreening.org. Other info at myspace.com/privatescreening08.
The photos look great hanging on the back wall of the lobby. Every year I'm impressed anew by the work of our students.
The photo at top left became the poster for the show itself.
