Amsterdam Public Library
Public libraries are wonderful things, and after having no luck finding an Internet cafe where I could check email, we walked to Amsterdam's new library built right on the edge of the harbor.
It didn't disappoint, with dozens of computer terminals on each floor. Here I'm checking out this website showing the map of Amsterdam.
In search of a bathroom we also discovered the 7th floor cafe with its spacious covered balcony. We bought very reasonably priced coffee and pastries and enjoyed panoramic views looking toward the city from the harbor.
This day, like those before it, had periods of clouds and a few sprinkles of rain combined with occasional sunny interludes. Not perfect weather, but nothing to complain about.
