Meeting a friend in Wurzburg
A great part of this trip was that we were able to reconnect with friends both American and German that we haven't seen in a while. Today we took a short train ride from Ludwigsburg to Wurzburg to meet Eva, a German school psychologist who'd stayed with us in Cleveland while she was a student.
We spent about three hours—gotta love that European cafe lifestyle!—sitting outside at Wurzburg's Cafe Schönborn.
I really enjoyed these street musicians—classier than most.
It was amazing to see wind turbines on hilltops everywhere we went in Germany. The German commitment to renewable energy (wind, solar, biomass conversion) is really impressive. I wish the U.S. would develop the political will to do the same.
Details on the official German Renewable Energy website.
Men everywhere have preferences, but they don't usually spell them out quite so clearly as this VW owner did.
